CAMTS REACCREDITED

3/17/2008 Aero Care again received full accreditation for the third time that the Commission Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) March 17, 2008. CAMTS is a voluntary non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality and safety of medical transport services.


CAMTS offers land and air záchranku providers to compete for the evaluation of its entire program to determine whether they are in accordance with the nationally recognized accreditation standards, based on the safety of air transport and clinically as well as all other aspects of daily Operations


Accreditation standards are the criteria to measure the program's level of quality. Material must be made to the program to obtain accreditation. Accreditation standards were originally developed in 1991 and revised each year to keep pace with the changing characteristics of the aeromedical industry. CAMTS Board member organizations;

The acceditation process begins with a detailed review of the program's submitted program information form (PIF). After careful review of the program's PIF, a thorough site-survey is conducted by a CAMTS site-survey team in which information is verified and key people are interviewed. All information is then submitted to the CAMTS Board of Directors for review. Accreditation is then determined based on the board's vote on whether the program is "substantially compliant" with the accreditation standards.

Aero Care belongs to a growing number of CAMTS accredited fixed-wing programs throughout the world as CAMTS accreditation is the gold standard for aeromedical services sought. \ "State insurance departments and large organizations have begun to urge the CAMTS accreditation program to be licensed and competitions for specific business", says Joseph D. CECE, Program Director and Executive Director of Aero Care.
