The Air Ambulance Service in Gloucestershire, to ensure that on the basis of an agreement on the future adaptation of resources in the region.


Historically, County Air Ambulance Charity is a provider of medical helicopter services in Gloucestershire. However, the new Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, is now operational and is expected to assume the role over the next twelve months. In the meantime, the two welfare organisations have to cooperate in the procurement of funds in Gloucestershire.


Speaking about the new rules, Paul Leaman, director of the County Air Ambulance Charity said: "Both charity organizations wanted any public confusion when he came to a fundraising for Gloucestershire Air Ambulance. This agreement will support charitable organizations, which allows County Air Ambulance to increase necessary resources to maintain the existing Air Ambulance services in this area. At the same time the agreement gives the new Great Western Charity chance to increase resources to support its new air traffic controllers within the province. "


Paul Weir, director of the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity welcomes the new scheme: "Both charity organizations are working together in Gloucestershire for the Air Ambulance is a very sensible approach. This means that the citizens can continue to pledge financial support for Gloucestershire Air Ambulance, probably knowing that money is to support existing and new services Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. County Air Ambulance operates in the Midlands and the Welsh borders region and receives no government or lottery funding. Charity must fundraise £ 5.6 million per year to the helicopter rescue service continue to fly throughout the region.



The Great Western Air Ambulance was launched on 3rd June, and is the latest Air Ambulance operator. The service currently provides a five-day a week operation in the Avon, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Wiltshire area, from its base at Filton Airfield near Bristol.
